What is a Reflux?

It is defined as a disorder in which there is an increase in the acid of stomach. It goes to the wrong way and may go into the mouth. It is also known as heart burn. The reflux can be chronic and may also occur due to the gastro intestinal troubles. It can even lead to the bad taste in mouth as well as injury to the esophagus.

What are the signs and symptoms of Reflux?
It includes the heart burn as well as pain in the chest. It leads to the regurgitation of acids and in the case of infants the symptoms are very severe. They have a problem in eating and they keep on crying. They can also vomit.

How Reflux can be diagnosed?
It includes the use of visual examination and a patient history.

How Reflux can be treated?
There is no specific treatment for this disorder. One must identify the cause for it and must act against it. One must avoid tea, coffee and few drinks. The head of the bed must be raised. One can also go for antacids. In rare cases surgery is also recommended.

How Reflux can be prevented?
It includes the avoidance of any irritating factor. One must avoid alcohol, tobacco and cigarette smoking. One must avoid tea, coffee and few drinks.
