What is Adeno Myosis?

It is defined as a condition in which there is a medical condition which shows the presence of glandular tissue in muscle. It means a gland with muscle condition. It mainly refers to inner lining of uterus which is known as the ectopic endo metrial tissues. There is a thick layer of muscle of the uterus which is known as the myo metrium. The adenomyo metritis denotes to the involvement of uterus. It involves the uterus focally which creates an adeno myoma. This disorder occurs in the women between the ages of 30 to 50. The patients with this disorder have a painful or profuse menses. It includes the dys menorrhea and menorrhagia. It may involve the uterus in a diffuse manner and can increase the size of uterus.

What are the signs and symptoms of adeno myosis?
The uterine pain which occur as a monthly menstrual cramp along with abnormal uterine bleeding which leads to the escape of the blood to the muscle resulting in prolonged spotting. It is quite common in the posterior wall of the uterus.

What is the prognosis of adeno myosis?
It includes there is not much risk for the development of cancer. This condition depends on the estrogen and menopause is a natural care. The patient with this disorder also has a leio myomata or endo metriosis.

What is the differential diagnosis of adeno myosis?
It includes the endo metrial polyps, sub mucosal fibroids, endo metrial hyper plasia and carcinoma. In the younger women one must include the spontaneous abortion and ectopic pregnancy.
