What is an Agammaglobulinemia?
It is defined as a disorder in which there is a decrease in all types of gamma globulins. It is an immune disorder. It is also known as the hypo gamma globulinemia. It is quite different from the dys gamma globulinemia in which there is a reduction of few types of gamma globulins. The term a gamma globulinemia is a decrease as well as absence of all types of gamma globulins. There are few modern techniques which have shown that the gamma globulinemia must be defined properly like the hypo gamma globulinemia. This is not fully relevant. This disorder is a character of common variable immune deficiency.
What are the signs and symptoms of Agammaglobulinemia?
It includes the bronchitis, chronic diarrhea, conjunctivitis, respiratory infections, skin and pneumonia. It also includes the sinusitis.
